Waiting on Wednesday (65): Red Queen

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
Publication Date: February 10, 2015

The poverty stricken Reds are commoners, living under the rule of the Silvers, elite warriors with god-like powers.

To Mare Barrow, a 17-year-old Red girl from The Stilts, it looks like nothing will ever change.

Mare finds herself working in the Silver Palace, at the centre of
those she hates the most. She quickly discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. One that threatens to destroy Silver control.

But power is a dangerous game. And in this world divided by blood, who will win?

We can't ignore Red Queen.  We just can't.  There are new literary laws in place that say we must talk about it or else shut down our blog for being so out of touch.

Red Queen suppose to be the hottest book coming out next year and everyone is pumped for it.  Honestly, the premise of power in blood sounds totally awesome and this could be a very interesting book if all the hype the publisher has been pushing doesn't ruin it for the readers.  Power is a dangerous game, and while I can't wait to read Red Queen, I hope all the power publishers and media have been giving the book don't spell out it's downfall.

Also, I swear to God if there is a love triangle between Mare and a boy with red blood and a boy with silver blood, I'm gonna burn down the young adult section of a library.
